Day 3 was so busy!
We started with the Tower of London, and saw the Crown Jewels (the queen's bling) and went on a Beefeater tour. The Tower is pretty amazing, and the tour gives a lot of interesting historical background that makes the visit really fascinating.
We also checked out ancient torture techniques:
Fish and chips lunch by the river:
Westminster Abbey was amazing! It was so beautiful and grand inside, and had a great audiotour. DId you know Queen Elizabeth I's tomb is there? How cool is that??
We headed to Leicester Square to try to score some cheap theatre tickets, but alas they didn't have any for shows we wanted to see. We were getting hot and cranky so we quickly found ourselves a treat - Ben and Jerry's ice cream (mmm... New York Fudge and Jamaican Me Crazy)!
Next we went to the National Gallery, which had such amazing collections. We saw so many famous paintings, but sadly photos were not allowed.
We had dinner at Prezzo, then headed to Buckingham Palace with some delicious snacks (Pret a Manger again, and yay they gave me a free delicious hot chocolate!)
That night we went to see Wicked! It was such a great show! Very funny and the songs were catchy. The actress/singer who played the Wicked Witch was incredibly talented. Her voice was amazing. We could see really well from our last-minute seats but they were so far from the stage that they offered us binoculars!
