Eggy Sandwich

Mmm... I'm going to have to try this soon. Look at that gooey cheese oozing out!

The best part is how easy it is to make.

Korean Night

Last night, Howie invited us over for Korean food and a movie. He made this himself! Japchae dumplings and a bulgogi and rice cake stew. Afterwards, we watched a Korean comedy, which was surprisingly good (we've watched surprisingly bad Korean movies in the past too, haha...)

Good times with Howie, Ruth and Mark.

Ham, Four Ways

This is part two of our meat locker adventure, this time featuring a smoked bone-in ham.

I've never made ham before, but it was super easy. The hard part was figuring out what to do with all the leftovers.

We started with an oven-roasted ham:

Jay's not a fan of creamy soups, but even he had to admit that this ham and potato soup was really tasty:

Ham and spinach omlette:

And what could a Chinese girl do with a leftover ham bone, other than make jook (congee), which was deliciously creamy and comforting on a chilly weekend

And I still have leftover ham in the freezer!

Words with Friends

A few weeks ago, we played Bananagrams with Peter and Jemima. It was so much fun (they were so good at it!), and who knew that there were so many 2-letter words (xu, anyone?)
