Honeymoon in Europe: Day 6 (London to Paris)

Everywhere in London, I saw girls carrying large bags that said "PRIMARK Oxford Street" on them. What was Primark? Turns out it's a large chain store in the UK that sells fashionable clothes/accessories at bargain prices. Sounds good, right? So we hit up Primark in the morning and got a bunch of cool stuff before heading off on a Eurostar train to get to Paris. Of course, we had to make one last stop at Pret a Manger before leaving London

At the train station waiting for the Eurotrain:
Once in Paris, we checked into our hotel (Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg) and just walked around to get our surroundings. It was an awesome hotel, and felt really luxurious and romantic. The bathroom was huge (compared to the one in London) and had nice Hermes toiletries. They also sent us a box of chocolates to welcome us. We were staying in a fashionable shopping district near the Concorde, but it was also within walking distance to a lot of major sights and museums.

Since it was our first day in Paris, we decided to wander around. Here's the Place de la Concorde with its famous obelisk:

Our first look at the Eiffel Tower!

In front of the Quai Branly Museum (we liked the vegetation they planted on the exterior wall of the museum):

The Eiffel Tower! It was designed by a bridge engineer, and it looks really neat up-close (especially for Jay).
We also took a bus around town and ended up near the Bastille and had dinner in the Marais district that night (sorry, no food photos!)

Then we collapsed into our incredibly comfy bed at the hotel (seriously, it was like sleeping in a warm cloud that enveloped your body... it was amazing)
