Last month we went to Punta Cana! It was a bit of a last minute trip with some high school friends of mine, but what a great time we had.
We stayed at the Iberostar resort, and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, the rooms spacious and clean, and the staff was friendly and really hard-working.
The best part was the beach - it was so beautiful and clean. The sand was soft, the water perfectly blue, and the weather in the high-20s every day.

This was our room, and they gave us free t-shirts, fruit and a bottle of rum upon our arrival (I told them it was our honeymoon, which it was....er, sort of):

We didn't take any photos of the huge pool, but we spent most of our time on the beautiful beach anyway.
We did some activities too (although to be honest, we mostly ate, drank and lounged on the beach. It was awesome). We did archery, horseshoes, catamaran (very very fun) and parasailing. A lovely couple from Newmarket was nice enough to take some photos of us up in the air:
It was such a relaxing and fun week. Don't be fooled by Jay's smile at the airport, we were really sad to leave.
